I am so honored to get to interview my good friend and fellow author Victoria Lynn! She has just released a non-magical fantasy romance.
What inspired the story?
A picture I found on Pinterest that I used for a writing prompt. It was one of those prompts that didn't let me go and I had to keep writing. What was something that you learned through writing the story?
Wow. So much. haha! God really showed off and spoke to me so much in this story. He encouraged me so much in the purpose and destiny that He has for each of His children and the power of hope and His word in the darkest of times. What makes your characters unique?
There's a whole lot of mental issues happening in this story and I found it ironic that a girl with anxiety, her grandma with dementia are trying to lead a young soldier with amnesia... I just put that together right now actually. haha! They are very real people struggling with circumstances we all have faced in life and I hope their rawness speaks to others. If you could meet one of your characters in real life, who would you pick and why?
I feel like Marcus probably. I'm the Marcus to most of my friends and family so honestly, it would be nice to be on the receiving end of that more often. haha! If you could have your readers walk away with one lesson/emotion from this story, what would it be?
Hope. I truly pray that this story fills the reader with so much hope and encouragement. That even in dark times, the Lord is with us in every single second of it, fighting with us, without best interest at heart, and with so much purpose and destiny behind who and where and what we are in this world. What can we be looking forward to in the future?
Book two is already in the works! This series currently has 5 books planned out and I have no doubt that there may be some novella or short stories branching off from that going forward. But book two will be out early next year, Lord willing!
